Here’s a sample of what’s wrong with the planet:

Many people currently think that it’s great that they can buy “cheap” things at big-box stores – yet, they don’t realize the damage they’re doing to the environment – and their local community – such as:

• The pollution generated at foreign factories (no environmental controls) that end up here as contaminated products! (how about the radiation that has just polluted the air and fish !)
• The thousand of miles products have to travel causing pollution, lost jobs, etc.
• Child and slave (prison) labor used – plus no worker safety or health standards.
• Not being able to trust the actual contents of the products: (Many have lead or other toxins!)
• Job Loss, closed stores, (higher crime, local taxes, less services) from “cheaper” products.
• The taxes not collected from industries sheltering their profits offshore.
• The national security threat (We can’t manufacture products in an emergency/war).
• Trillions of dollars wasted in wars to protect oil companies and their shipping lanes – instead of using that money in our country to create off-shore windmill farms and solar-thermal plants in our deserts…
